Three castles may be found in Favignana. Discover their history and which of them can still be visited.

S. Caterina, S. Giacomo and S. Leonardo

On the Island of Favignana in the past, stood three castles; the castle of Santa Caterina, which is still opened and has the same name as the mountain in which its stands, the fort of San Giacomo and the castle of San Leonardo. The last two cannot be seen because all around San Giacomo a prison has been built, while San Leonardo was demolished in the late 800 to make space for a small port. Now the Florio Palace stands in its place.
